Merck KGaA announced that as of Sept. 1, 2008, it will raise the prices of its specialty chemical products by 5 to 15 percent worldwide. Owing to the sharp increase in the costs of raw materials, energy and logistic services, Merck sees itself compelled to adjust the prices of the products from its Performance & Life Science Chemicals division, including its pigments business.
